Weekend black & white

The classic lines of the Plaza Hotel, New York, against a modern building behind it.

The watermark on the negative, caused when the film was processed, adds 'authenticity' - that's my excuse for not trying to get rid of it with PC software.

Love how the new monolith towers over that very attractive older building. It looks like a scene from a movie - giant 'block' terrorises New York.

There is probably a Photoshop filter for antiquing which will add watermarks. But Photoshop will never take a good photograph - but it seems an Olympus XA can.

I love the architectural contrasts. So what if the photo has a watermark - just proves it came from film!

I like the composition and the B&W tonality John. No excuses needed. I finally found a workflow that guarantees no watermarks or spots.
