Cobbles

Rough floor in one of the old houses at the Folke Museum at Lejre, outside Copenhagen.

Taken in the early 80s with Leica IIIf, 50/3.5 Elmar and HP5 film.

You can see the old camera in the sidebar on the right. Unfortunately I cannot use it now as there is a problem with the wind-on mechanism.

More weekend monochrome shots here.

Now they're proper cobbles, not like the square setts we have on the streets in Saltaire. Your picture makes me feel I could reach out and touch them.

Beautiful camera. Too bad it no longer works. But a very uncomfortable looking floor. Would not want to walk on it.

Better to look at them this way than to walk on them!
Ingenious shot!

That's a nice composition.
My brother has a camera similar to yours but smaller. I think it might still work!

I love this. The texture and the contast are great. I think I prefer modern floors though - too easy to twist an ankle on one like this!

My first thought was of a beach in Gower.

Pity about the camera.

That's inside a house? I wouldn't want to walk around barefoot!

Wonderful dark tones John. You nailed the highlights too. I do like the roundness.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting. I'll have to try a crop. You never know until you do. It's amazing how the right crop can transform an image.

Nice shot! Rough is putting it mildly!
